Activate

A reaper does nothing until it is switched on. Switching it on burns REAP, permanently, and picks the multiplier it earns at. You can climb later without losing what you already burned.

Switch it on, then decide about the ladder

Activation is 25,000 REAP and earns at a plain 1x. The rungs are optional and sit on top of that fee. Costs climb faster than the boost does, on purpose: the top rung is a supply sink, not a bargain, and it is priced for people who want size.

Priced for size, not for return.

Upgrading later costs the difference between the two tiers, not the full price again. Nothing you burn is ever refunded, and the tier stays on the token when it sells.

The part people miss

Activation is tied to the token, not to you. Sell it and it goes dormant in the buyer's wallet, and they burn 25,000 REAP to start it again. The rung you paid for survives, so what you burned is part of what they are paying for.

The fifteen one of ones are the only exception. They never sleep, no matter how many times they change hands.
